Eileen Blake
Eileen Blake was born in California and lived there until her mid-thirties. A nomad by choice and circumstance, she currently resides in an arid part of the U.S. with her best friend/ex-husband, and dreams of moving to a wetter part of the country.
She spends her days wrangling data and crunching numbers but has moonlighted as a freelance writer for various small-town newspapers happily conducting interviews, opinion pieces, and travel stories.

Rachel Ivanyi is a contemporary nature artist with a passion for conservation art using magical realism and whimsy. With a background in zoology and scientific illustration, her professional work over the last 30 years has been split between illustration, art instruction, and exhibition. She loves to shine a positive light on the misunderstood and ignored beings in this world. She was very excited to work with Eileen to bring Elsie to life.
